The new reality in a rapidly changing world dictates a new approach to the work of a modern office. In the spring of this year, in accordance with the government decree, we transferred most of our employees to remote work. Having tested this principle of operation over the past few months, we have concluded that, in this format as well, our company retains the effectiveness of teamwork — during which time we successfully implemented big projects, and the Concept staff continues working on new projects using communication technologies and functioning as one well-coordinated team. This experience has shown that for us further combination of remote work with partial presence of employees in the office is not only possible, but also advisable. The alternative work schedule now allows us to minimize a number of stationary desks, use flexible workspace technologies instead, and focus more on the exhibition zone of the showroom. However, due to some reasons, it has proved difficult to fulfill this idea in the current office. Moreover, our new design idea required an appropriate creative environment — we wanted our renewed showroom to be located in a more trendy, dynamic and atmospheric place in Moscow. Thus, the Concept decided to move to a new office.
Our choice has settled at the Business Center «Danilovskaya Manufactory». This is a unique modern business quarter, built in the best traditions of loft, located south of the Garden Ring on the banks of the Moskva River.
The territory of the business center is a reconstruction of the historical Danilovskaya manufactory, founded in 1867 by the merchant of the first guild Vasily Meshcherin, later reached its heyday and world fame under the management of Baron Ludwig John von Knop. In the 19th and 20th centuries, the factory was one of the leading textile production in Russia and the world.
Nowadays «Danilovskaya Manufactory» is an ambitious project of the future, «city in city», in which historical industrial areas have been transformed into a loft-quarter format, which has become a new Moscow trend in recent years. Here are the offices of innovative and IT companies, some of which are Concept customers. The dynamically developing infrastructure of the business district includes a variety of restaurants, cafes and shops, event venues, apartments and parking. Loft-quarter buildings have their names with a reference to the historical past of the manufactory — «Meshcherin», «Knop», «Rows of Soldatenkov», «Flannel», «Satin»...
Our new showroom is located on the 1st floor of the building «Sittsevy» and has its separate entrance from the yard. Our requirements for the new premises were high ceilings, which are important in the aesthetics of the showroom and give various possibilities for beautiful design solutions. The area of furniture exposition has expanded. For the company’s employees, a hot-desking system with electronic booking of a workplace is being developed, as well as co-working and agile-working zones, which do not require a large area and are easily transformed for certain business needs. Up-to-date technologies of flexible working environment are becoming in demand more and more in today’s realities, and we plan to demonstrate such solutions to our customers by our own example.
Our business philosophy is based on three the most important values for us — our customers, our suppliers and our professional Concept team. The new office-showroom is being created for these values. We hope the customers will enjoy coming here, immersing themselves in the creative atmosphere of our office and the energy of the around environment. We are improving the exposition area of the showroom to demonstrate and promote the best samples and novelties of furniture from our partner manufacturers. We fully retain the staff of our employees and introduce such new working conditions that allow choosing the most convenient and health-safe individual work schedule. Our step into a new office is striving to hear the tuning fork of the times and flexibly follow trends, find a reasonable balance in the redistribution of internal resources and invest in future development of the company, open a new breath and give impetus to moving forward.
