Metropolitan

The Metropolitan armchair is truly considered to be the hallmark of the leading Italian furniture manufacturer B&B Italia. The Metropolitan collection was designed by renowned architect and designer Jeffrey Bernett in 2002, and was expanded in 2014 with new models based on the same design.

The seat, which seamlessly merges into the armrests, is a distinctive feature of the Metropolitan armchair. Different models can be equipped with a rotary mechanism, bases in different versions, a headrest with a magnet for adjustment and complemented by a foot ottoman. The collection features a wide range of fabric and leather upholstery.

In 2025, Jeffrey Burnett added a novelty to the collection — the Metropolitan Relax armchair with a separate, height-adjustable headrest. The chair is equipped with a tilt mechanism and is complemented by a foot ottoman.
