Butter

The leading Italian manufacturer Tacchini presents a luxurious collection of Butter upholstered furniture. The soft and flowing shapes of the collection’s objects resemble bars of butter, which is emphasized by the collection’s name «Butter». Butter, in turn, is part of the broader «Bread and Butter» collection created in collaboration with striking contemporary designer Faye Toogood.

Butter rethinks the comfort of upholstered furniture. The voluminous cushions of the sofas, filled with hypoallergenic fiber, envelop the body, yielding to its position like «soft butter». In this sense, the collection not only visually corresponds to the name, but also as if it borrows the physical features of this food.

In addition to sofas, the Butter collection includes an armchair, an upholstered ottoman and a marble-topped coffee table with a padded base. The collection is also complemented by a charming storage cabinet made of glossy lacquered MDF, which additionally plays up the name of the collection, due to its similarity to a smooth slice of butter.
